Happy Friday everyone!
I just wanted to inform everyone that I started to take over the monthly IUD/Nexplanon clinic. This is a wonderful opportunity for our residents (one of the intern's is assigned to attend this clinic each month) AS WELL as our patient's.
This clinic is held usually on every 4th Thursday of the month (exception: this month it is scheduled on November 21st and next month on December 19th due to the holidays) in the evening in Martinez clinic for placement of either IUD's and Nexplanon's.
If you are a provider that does not do these in your clinic or you are unable to provide these when in-patient, OR just want to facilitate resident learning (and want to help them with their procedural skill set as a family doc)- PLEASE refer patient's to this clinic!!
If you have a patient who is uncertain about their birth control option or needs reproductive counseling, please contact me with the patient info so I contact the patient to determine if they would benefit from being seen in this clinic.
